Artiste, écrivain, chercheur. Né à Toronto (Canada). Vit et travaille à Paris. Ses thèmes de recherche portent sur l'humanité après l'homme, la ville après l'espace public, l'architecture après le plaisir. Ses projets enquêtent sur des situations d’ambivalence, entre la guerre et la danse, entre le plaisir sexuel et le non-lieu, entre la ville et son potentiel, entre le posthumain et l’obsolescence de l’homme. Il conçoit des dispositifs artistiques, des textes théoriques, des lieux. Il réalise de nombreuses installations vidéos, des pièces filmiques, sonores en France et à l’étranger, comme les projets Hypnorama, Utopia Factory, Sex Park, Vincennes Zoo Research Lab, le Musée de l'imaginaire terroriste, Cyborgs dans la brume, et Dance Party in Iraq. Il est co-fondateur du laboratoire de recherche LOPH (Lutte contre l'Obsolescence Programmée de l'Homme), l'auteur du blog Propositions / spéculations, le co-fondateur du Musée de l'imaginaire terroriste, co-fondateur du collectif Nogo Voyages, auteur du photoblog Lost in Créteil, co-auteur des installations en ligne Googlehouse et What Are You?, auteur de l'essai Prisonniers volontaires du rêve américain et de la structure de massages Here is where we meet Il enseigne à l'École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Artist, writer, researcher. Born in Toronto, Canada. Lives and works in Paris. His main research interests are mankind after man, the contemporary city after public space, architecture after pleasure, the Umwelt of data. His projects focus on ambivalent situations, between war and dance, sexual pleasure an nonplaces, the city and its potential, posthuman theories and the obsolescence of mankind. He creates films, video and sound installations, theoretical texts, places, such as Mute, Empty and Cyborgs in the Mist, or the photoblog Lost in Créteil. He created the online installations Googlehouse and What Are You?, and the temporary massage structure Here is Where We Meet. He co-founded the projects Nogo voyages, and of the LOPH research lab. He is the author of the Propositions / spéculations blog. He co-founded the Terrorism Museum, the collective Nogo Voyages. He is the author of the essay Prisonniers volontaires du rêve américain (Volontary Prisoners of the American Dream). He teaches at Ensad (Paris). Contact |
